Police break up peaceful LGBT demonstration in Warsaw
Police remove demonstrators trying to block a police car with arrestees in Warsaw, Poland on August 7, 2020. Several hundred LGBT people and supporters tried to prevent the arrest of a women sentenced to two months in jail for damaging a vehicle with anti-LGBT propaganda. Police made several dozen arrests during the demonstration. Tensions have been rising between LGBT groups and the conservative government which opposes equal rights for LGBT people.
