Medical professionals protested in Warsaw, Poland on August 8, 2020 against a new law that would lead to immediate prison sentences for medical errors. The regulation has been introduced as part of the anti-crisis shield, the COVID-19 economic relief package. Medical professionals have criticised the bill as a tool to silence them in light of the many shortcomings Polish health care has been facing.
