Kolkata Metro will reopen on September 14, after being closed for nearly 6 months due the Coronavirus pandemic. The Metro railway were allowed to operate during the fourth phase of unlock, following strict social distance norms as instructed by the Ministry of Health India. Currently the metro is operating for travel of Railways staffs and it will open to general public from 13th of this month. India now stands as the second most worst hit country in the world , with its case daily tally being the highest recorded in the world today.
