Today the National Musuem in Warsaw unveiled a sculpture of the late pope John Paul II upholding a meteorite by artist Jerzy Kalina. The sculpture is controversial and has been widely criticised for reflecting and supporting the outlook of Poland's ultra-conservative, Catholic government.
