Over ten thousand people took to the streets to protest a ruling by the Constitutional Tribunal that would effectively ban all forms of abortion. On Thursday the Constitutional Tribunal ruled that abortions in cases of malformed fetuses are unconstitutional. Poland has some of the strictest laws concerning abortion and the new ruling now means abortions are only possible in cases of rape or danger to the mothers life.
