Ontario will enter a provincewide lockdown on Boxing Day (December 26, 2020) in an effort to bring soaring COVID-19 cases under control. Ontario reported 81 COVID-19 related deaths over the past 48-hour period, as the number of patients in intensive care units surpassed 300 for the first time.
