Protestors marched with burning torches at the Charlottesville campus of the University of Virginia, USA, opposing the planned removal of the statue honouring Confederate general Robert E Lee. Counter demonstrators were also present and violence broke out on both sides. The police broke up the clashes and at least one person was arrested.
