Various right wing movements came together in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA on the 12th of August 2017 to unite in opposition to the controversial removal of the statue of Confederate General Robert E Lee. Liberal opposition groups clashed with the protestors, resulting in injuries on both sides and the police intervening to safeguard the tense situation on the ground.
