42 metasequoia trees will be transplanted from a construction site in central Warsaw to the Mokotow Field park further south in the city. The redwood trees which are native to the Chinese Hubei province are being carefully removed with a powerful tree spade connected to a truck. The tree spade digs its blades into the ground and around the tree’s main roots, cutting them and lifting the whole tree onto the truck. On Tuesday the first metasequoia was transplanted to Mokotow Field.
