The Nepalis government decided to vaccinate people aged between 40 and 59 years with the 'Vero Cell' vaccine donated by the Chinese government earlier on April 1. Manufactured by China's Beijing Institute of Biological Products the Chinese government had provided 800,000 doses of ‘Vero Cell’ vaccines to Nepal. Very few countries including Nepal had granted conditional emergency approval for use of the Vero Cell vaccine.
