Several thousand people from all over Poland took part in the 20th Equality Parade on Saturday. It was the first parade in two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic with no reported incidents despite ongoing anti-LGBT rhetoric by the ruling Law and Justice party. Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, the parade’s patron said the city will always stand by those that are being pushed to the margins of society by others.
