Rome, 26th june 2021. People take part in the Rome Pride Parade for LGBTQ rights. Last year the Pride parade was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Italian prime minister defended parliament after the Vatican requested a revision on an anti-discrimination draft bill that provides protection for LGBTQ persons, saying the new law could interfere with religious freedoms.
