Wildfires continue on the Greek island of Evia. The last Friday, 1.400 people were evacuated due to the fire on Evia's island, which destroyed several villages. Officials said that a volunteer firefighter died in an area north of Athens affected by the fire. Greece is experiencing its worst heatwave in more than 30 years. In the last 10 days, more than 56,000 hectares (140,000 acres) have been burnt in Greece, according to the European Forest Fire Information System.
