More than a thousand water protectors gathered at the Minnesota State Capitol on August 25, 2021 for “Treaties Not Tar Sands,” a peaceful rally to put pressure on elected officials to stop Line 3. The event coincides with the final day of the “Treaty People Walk for Water” as they reach the end of their 256-mile journey traveling on foot from the White Earth Nation to St. Paul.
