The city of Padua also participates this year in the European Heritage Days, which are celebrated on 25 and 26 September. The event, conceived in 1991 by the Council of Europe and the European Commission to promote dialogue and exchange between European nations and underline the central role of culture in society, this year has as its theme "Cultural Heritage: ALL included!" The Eremitani Museum will host in two new rooms specially used for the occasion part of the collection of finds donated by the archaeologist Giovanni Battista Belzoni.
