The economy of small Italian medieval villages was hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic. Signs of a weak recovery were registered in the summer but this is not enough to allow the reopening of all the premises. In the municipality of Montecarlo, in the province of Lucca, there are in fact many restaurants with lowered shutters that, due to the pandemic due to Covid-19, have not been able to reopen their doors.
