Several dozen demonstrators gathered in front of the Constitutional Tribunal in Warsaw, Poland on 07 October, 2021 to protest against the court's ruling on the primacy of the Polish constitution over EU law. The court ruled that specific EU law's cannot overrule the country's constitution. Critics fear the ruling is a step towards a legal 'Polexit'. The ruling could have an effect on billions of Euros in COVID-19 recovery funds from the EU and further widen the gap between Warsaw and Brussels.
