Roads in Barcelona have been blocked during a mass protest called to support politicians from troubled Catalonia who have been detained by police, on February 21, 2019. They shouted slogans in favour of the general strike, the independence and the release of "political prisoners”. Hundreds of protesters marched through roads in scenes similar to those in Paris by Yellow Vest protesters who brought France to a standstill and crushed the nation’s economy.
