The World Health Organization (WHO) ended its emergency meeting about the new COVID-19 strain detected in South Africa. The Ministry of Health of Switzerland warned about the possibility that existing vaccines will be less effective against the variant. Some countries are suspending flights from certain areas of Africa over concerns about the COVID-19 variant.
