Despite a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases Poland has only applied minimal restrictions to combat the pandemic. On Christmas Day the Old Town is full of visitors and hospitality, bars and restaurants operating at normal capacity despite an official mandate for a 30 percent reduction in capacity.
