At least 5000 protesters occupied the road to Sri Lanka’s president Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s residence in Mirihana, Some 10 Kilometers away from the capital Colombo, on 31, March 2022. Demanding his resignation in the backdrop of a severe economic crisis in the country, that has seen 13 hour-long powers cuts, food shortages, and a scarcity of fuel.
