Turkey's “Disinformation law” is protested by journalists, media representatives, Izmir Bar Association, Confederation of Public Workers Unions, Confederation of Revolutionary Trade Unions of Turkey, Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects and Izmir Medical Chamber in a demonstration which was organised by Izmir Journalists Association in Izmir, Turkey on June 21, 2022. Dilek Gappi, President of the Izmir Journalists Association, whose speech was often interrupted by slogans, emphasized that the law could destroy freedom of media.
