Rescue workers are clearing debris and addressing the consequences of a massive Russian overnight attack on civilian infrastructure in Kyiv, Ukraine, on January 9, 2026. During another night of Russian aerial terror, Russia is launching one intermediate-range ballistic missile, 22 Kalibr cruise missiles, 13 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and 242 Shahed-type drones against Ukraine. At least four people are reported killed in Kyiv, including a medic who is providing assistance to the wounded and is killed during a secondary strike.
