The French Constitutional Court validates Macron's pension reform

The French Constitutional Court has validated the substance of the pension reform approved by government decree by Elisabeth Borne's executive, a law that is creating discontent in the country that has been marked by numerous protests. The Palais du Conseil Constitutionnel, in the Louvre district, was made completely inaccessible thanks to a heavy device of police forces, riot police, vehicles with water cannons and grids blocking access to the building. Around sixty accredited journalists were able to hear the commentary of the Secretary General of the Constitutional Council but no radio, television or photo agency was able to record the informal meeting. In Paris, on April 14, 2023.
