Migrants protest against the Cutro decree of the Italian government

Protesters participate in the national demonstration of migrants 'Not on our skin!' against the Cutro Decree on the new rules of the Italian Government on immigration and asylum, in Rome, Italy, 28 April 2023. The 'Cutro Decree', which aims, among other proposals, to limit the special protection status, which is typically granted to asylum seekers in Italy, comes in the wake of the Cutro shipwreck that claimed the lives of least 94 migrants on 26 February. The decree is expected to be converted into law on 09 May.
