The President of the Republic has received Mr Gitanas Nuseda, President of the Republic of Lithuania, on 24 May 2023 at the Elysée Palace. This meeting enable them to prepare the next international events, in particular the NATO summit in Vilnius on 11 and 12 July. They has also discussed the preparation of the European Political Community Summit on 1 June in Chisinau, as well as the European Council in June. The two Heads of State have discussed European issues, in particular the work in progress on energy and the adaptation of the Union's asylum and migration policy. Their exchanges has been an opportunity to reaffirm their joint support for Ukraine on the military, humanitarian, economic, diplomatic and judicial fronts. Finally, they have discussed bilateral relations between France and Lithuania. In Paris, on 24 May, 2023.
