Protest against the self-nomination of the city of Trino Vercellese to host the national nuclear waste site

It was initially designed as the second electronuclear plant in Trino but converted into its current configuration after the 1987 referendum on the abandonment of nuclear energy in Italy. The former plant is currently one of the potential candidates to host the single national repository for radioactive waste. There are 51 areas found suitable for hosting the single national radioactive waste repository located in various provinces but the city of Trino Vercellese applied to host the single national nuclear waste repository submitting the self-nomination
