In Poznan, Poland, on February 9, 2024, farmers from the Greater Poland region placed an EU flag in a wheelbarrow full of dung in the city center, in front of the region's Marshal Office, as part of a nationwide farmers' strike. This protest is a component of the broader European farmers' demonstration against the EU Green Deal regulations. The Polish farmers are also calling for modifications to the EU's agreement with Ukraine concerning the import of agricultural produce into the EU. The protest, organized by Rola Wielkopolska, attracted over a thousand tractors, causing road blockages in the city.
