Today, on February 12, 2024, along the main street of North Mitrovica, Kosovo, over a thousand Serbian citizens are gathering to protest against the measure implemented by the Central Bank of Kosovo on February 1, 2024, which bans the use of the dinar throughout the country. The Association of Pensioners is leading the national demonstration, demanding the revocation of the decision and the freedom to receive the currency from Serbian post offices and banks. High-ranking representatives of Serbian political parties, as well as all categories affected by the ban of the dinar - including health workers, educators, the socially vulnerable, students, and workers - are present to voice their concerns.
