Fifteen years following the devastating earthquake of 2009, L'Aquila has been recognized as the Italian Capital of Culture for the year 2026. On the eve spanning April 5th and 6th, L'Aquila will solemnly mark the 15th anniversary of this tragedy, honoring the memory of the 309 lives lost.
